Instance wise, Deadmines, Stockades, Wailing Caverns, Shadowfang Keep, Scarlet Monestary and Razorfen Kraul are also nearly done. · Rodeg is finishing up a college program and has limited time to work right now, but he has channels nearly finished. · Asura is still working away on Mail, along with a bunch of other tasks he's juggling. He has the entire system planned out, as well as auctions. · Talks about civilian NPCs calling for help and spawning guards to defend them. Darkrasp - July 12 Read the full post here. tl;dr · Been a bit of a slow week. · Still plugging away and got another ~450 NPCs loot assigned · Work on AD rep item removal (Bone Fragments, Core of Elements, Savage Frond, Dark Iron Scraps.. ugh, Dark Iron Scraps. So many queries.) · Darkrasp got 2100 mobs done · About 2250 mobs finished together with rooted, meaning they are right around the halfway point on creature drops. · Asura has loot and mail very nearly done, few small features to implement still. · The loot engine works, and on our test branch we can loot mobs from their statically assigned tables. · The world drop generator (the automatic level scaling part) is working in theory, but hasn't been fully implemented into the emulator yet. Auctions still to go afterwards. · Darkrasp talks about King Gordok and a couple of the ideas Crestfall got for preventing cheesing of the Tribute. · Crestfall is going to do something to prevent people using a pathing exploit to solo the King. Darkrasp - July 19 Read the full post here. tl;dr · This week saw some good progress and another ~530 NPCs loot are done, bringing Crestfall up past 2600. · With the help of two of our alpha testers, Imbaslap and Surrpass, I have a list of all the NPCs remaining to assign loot to, and that number is looking like approximately 1200. · Creature loot is well past 60% finished, and I'm hopeful that I'll be completely done that job within 3 weeks, before moving on to Skinning, Fishing, Pickpocketing, and Gameobject loot. · Asura and Rodeg's work has been limited. · Mail is effectively done. · Loot is largely done. · Chat channels are effectively done. · Asura is finally getting around to setting up a working machine for our scripters as well, so we hope to have some done and video to show in the near future. · Daribon got his hands on the list of teleport points that Blizzard gave it's actual GMs, and ported them into our format. All 900 of them (for Vanilla). Darkrasp - August 2 The full update. tl;dr Still doing loot assignments, Darkrasp have broken the 3200 assigned mark. Asura has finished the mail system, it's going onto the Alpha server shortly. Talking about the bug with Prismcham from Mangos. Still on track for an end of summer Beta. Darkrasp - August 8 The Full update. tl;dr Asura's mail system is done, it's been put on the test server and the Alpha testers are furiously breaking it every way they can think of. Crestfall have decided that they are going to hold off on Auctions for a little bit until all the other major issues are resolved, so it is likely that when they begin there Beta, the Auction House won't be working. Creature loot have been finished, some mistakes are to be expected. So that system is ready for testing. Rodeg is going to write up a parser to convert our Disenchanting, Skinning, Pickpocketing, Fishing and hopefully Item (read: lockboxes, oozing bags, etc.) loot templates from the existing database. Darkrasp is gonna focus on gameobject loot. Rembrandt is working on putting something together for Chests. Made a limited item stat rollback with the help of Crestfall community of around 205 items provided by Rembrandt. A dedicated server machine have been set up for their scripters to start working on. Clears up a few things around plans with the launch, also talks about a timeline for diffrent patch releases and not going as "big" as nostalrius about it. Darkrasp - August 16 The Full Update. tl;dr Asura has got the loot engine basically done, random world drop generation is now working on his dev realm. Mail system mostly fixed up after the Alpha testers found a bunch of bugs with it. More clever rewrite of the reputation system, which is about 40% done. Daribon has finished updating all the reported gossips we were missing. No more "Greetings, <name>!" when you talk to an NPC on Crestfall. Working on finishing the Chinese localization, and an Italian localization as well. Rodeg has been working on a few nasty bugs, most recently a bug where your current (not max) health drops to 1 when you log in. Roadeg wrote up a parser to convert some of Crestfall's old loot data into the new format. Keb and Schaka finally have a working dev server and have started quest scripting, so script creation is back underway. All the diffrent loot catagories is very, very close to finished. Asura - August 16 The Full Update. tl;dr Removed ~3k lines of hackfixes throughout the core (especially in the spell system) Rebuilding the whole reputation system. Asura took care of LoS checks for looting objects, fixing emotes showing up with gossip windows, some quest bugs, and LoS through trees. Asua also did rehandling of map data, and view distance. Rodeg Fixed some visual issues, an creature evasion issue, and an issue with combo points. He's now working on some clustering related bugs (mostly minor at this point), and then he'll start on auctions. Posted a "To do list" what needs to be fixed before beta. (click on the link above to watch the list) Darkrasp - August 23 The Full Update. tl;dr Loot is effectively done. All the loot templates are created and assigned. Darkrasp is working with Nogar on redoing the fishing tables. Asura recently been working full tilt on the loot engine. Skinning works perfectly. Disenchanting is done. Creatures are done. Gameobjects are well underway. Containers are functioning but not quite finished yet. Rodeg has been assigned to work on the Auction House. He's chugging away at that and hopes to get it done before Beta begins. Slowly but surely closing in on being ready for Beta.
