The Free Game Thread - Gaming Deals

EDIT: Elicas has manifested his divine law so this topic is now stickied (I moved the original post as a normal comment). Therefore short mission statement:

This thread is for links to games that are free at the moment. That means:

PRIMARILY:
- Games temporarily on 100% sale/marked as free.
- Giveaways (officially sponsored ones, like the recent one with Witcher on Ars Technica, no threads from reddit where one guy gives out a code he got with a videocard or something)
- When posting, say how much time is left (at least roughly in days) so people can figure out if they still have time.

SECONDARILY:
- Games that previously were for money, but got republished for free (should be fairly rare occurence, afaik this happened only to Torchlight and the odd game from early 2000s)

RESTRICTIONS:
- Proper games. No farmville-style shit!
- ABSOLUTELY NO P2W MMOs (god knows there's 7 million of those and all are the same).
- No games merely on sale. Even if it's 99%. Unless it's something like Witcher 3 or unless @Elicas decides it's a good idea.

Thanks for that, mate. Free stuff is always nice. Or most of the time at least.

I guess this is a good place to mention that GOG is giving away Eador Genesis. Haven't looked into it (still grabbed it because free) but at first glance it looks similar to Heroes of Might and Magic. Reviews are also favorable so it seems like it'll be decent at the very least. Offer ends in 21 hours as of this edit.

Would be a nice extra to the forum if we had a pinned thread dedicated to this stuff. Every now and then Origin, GOG, Humble Bundle and Steam give out free games. I see no harm in helping eachother stay informed. Just a silly idea of mine. Would probably seem out of place to a lot of people. I'm quite sure they'll welcome the information nonetheless.

Done and done. Just remember to keep the thread spam free, update with freebies, no discussion on the game itself as that should be for separate threads, and i'll keep this open and pinned.

Something that looks like yet another clone of Dungeon Keeper is free right now, for the next 30 hours, as of noon of the 12th of May, UTC+1. Get it if you wish.

The last DK clone I played was War for the Overworld, which was basically it, a sequel in everything but the name and possibly the story. Also horribly buggy/laggy. Wonder how this thing holds up.

I might try it. It's the time of the year to get disappointed and depressed anyway.

Nice idea! I've gotten myself free NWN, Witcher 2, Fallout 1&2, and Dragon Age: Origins, among others, from free campaigns over the years. GOG seems to be especially generous with them. Nice to have one location to check for them on a forum I visit regularly. :P

This game is free to grab on the Playstation Store if you have a Playstation Plus. You need Playstation Plus subscription to play online so i guess many of you having a PS4 are subscribed.

Killing Floor 2 – PS4 – (usually £29.99/ $39.99/ AU $54.95)

Killing Floor 2 is a first-person shooter than can be played alone or cooperatively online with a team of up to 12. Its story follows directly on from the events of the first game, in which a disease outbreak from a biotechnology lab results in a zombie infection spreading across Europe.

This time the infection has spread beyond Europe and players must fight waves upon waves of zombie enemies with a well-balanced team of different classes.

I played it and it's a good game for the price. You can sink in a couple hours with friends and really enjoy your time.
