I'll predict that at level 60 (and 60 only) the world population will be: Warrior > Rogue > Mage > Priest > Warlock > Shaman > Hunter > Druid.

Grouped it'll look like this:

1: Warrior = Rogue = Mage.

2: Priest = Warlock = Shaman = Hunter.

3: Druid.

It'll be possible for the grouped classes to switch places in popularity, but outside the groups it will remain the same. Priest won't be more popular than Mage and Druid won't overtake any other class in popularity but Shaman might overtake Warlock and Priest, etc.

On Kronos II there was an unusually low proportion of warlocks on the server so when I started on Elysium I decided to roll lock - it seems everyone had the same idea.

NE Hunter. I'll probably also level a holy priest and a druid at some point.

Shaman, of course. With an alt Hunter, since I've always loved them too. Even more so since fiddling around with them lately testing stuff on other Vanilla servers.

I'll definitely main a warrior again, switching between tank and arms. And I'll probably level a druid too, but that's going to take a while.

Actually I want to play a Blood Elve Mage. But this one will have to wait... So it probably will be a Forsaken Warlock or Priest

That's a lot of alchemy. Trying to make a philosopher's stone?

Resto Druid most likely (faction TBD). Shaman, Priest and Paladin are all enticing as well but I work alot and I wont have a lot of time to level alts. So if I can only have one character, I think Druid has the most play style variety across the 3 good expansions.

As well as benefitting from mastery once TBC arrives!

As for me, rogue, as always. After all, it was the very first character I made (if you don't count the night elf druid Tazaog who got deleted at level 2 and wasn't even on my account).

This has always been a bit of a struggle of a question for me - if anyone can fault my reasoning, please feel free to since I don't really consider myself to be as knowledgable about classic as I do about the expansions.

I'm gonna roll warlock because I figured I want to be a class that brings something to the table in a raid. I don't want to be a healer because since dual spec doesn't come in till Wrath, I don't want to struggle with soloing content (especially on a PvP server). Out of the dps classes I wanted to roll a ranged dps - a pet would definitely help with being able to solo content, but I didn't want to be a hunter since personally I feel like they're the easiest to replace (but obviously you always need a few for the tranq shot) in a raid. So it became a toss up between a mage, warlock and a shadow priest considering that my friends have opted to play Alliance, I guess I'll be doing the same. I didn't want to pick shadow priest because of the debuff slot restriction, especially considering mind flay takes up one debuff slot by itself (not taking into consideration shadow weaving). So a Mage or Warlock then. Mages can make their own food and water and have portals, Warlocks can summon, have health stones and soulstones, have pets and offer a bit of utility when more debuff slots become available (curse of the elements/shadow, etc...). But I guess what really pushed me over (and this wasn't even by very much) was being able to enslave demons (for soloing purposes) and the mount that they get.

At the end of it all, honestly I found myself changing my mind every two seconds because in my mind, every class has heaps of pros, heaps of cons. It genuinely took me weeks to actually come to that decision lol
